Exports of cement from Indonesia have fallen by 49.8 per cent YoY to 55,769t in March 2020 when compared with March 2019 when cement exports reached 111,065t, according to data released by ASI, the country’s cement association. Bhutan’s Dungsam Cement Corp has been adversely affected by the lockdown in India, according to Sonam Jigme, CEO. Cement demand in Argentina fell 46.5 per cent to 502,541t in March 2020 when compared to March 2019 when consumption reached 940,167t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. Exports from Vietnam decline due COVID-19 pandemic

Vietnam exported 7.5Mt of cement and clinker, to a value of US$291m, in the first quarter of this year, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The lower volume has been attributed to the coronavirus pandemic.
