Peru’s cement market expanded 2.1 per cent YoY to 946,000t in January 2020 from 927,000 in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Masaveu has doubled its export shipments to the USA from its Tudela Veguín plant in Spain in 2019. Spanish cement consumption declined 8.6 per cent in January 2020 to 1,035,484t when compared with the year-ago period. Turkmenistan exports 0.256Mt in 2019

Turkmenistan’s Lebap cement plant in Koytendag district exported 256,000t, or nearly 30 per cent of its production, in 2019. The majority of exports were M400 and M500 cement shipments, which were delivered to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. The plant is one of the largest in central Asia and its production capacity of 1Mta could be extended to 1.5Mta. Pakistan's exports increased in volume terms over the first seven months of FY19-20, but declined in value terms. Cement and clinker demand in Vietnam is expected to edge up by 4-5 per cent in 2020, according to the country's Ministry of Construction (MoC).
