Cemento Polpaico has submitted an environmental impact study (EIS) for the Cerro Blanco complex development to Chile’s Regional Directorate of the Environmental Assessment Service of the Metropolitan Region. Chile-based Cemento Polpaico reported revenues up 71.1 per cent to CLP230,726.57m (US$277.3m) in the January-September 2021 period when compared with revenues of CLP134,876.954m in the equivalent period of the previous year. Argos to collect 5000 waste tyres per month in Honduras

Colombia’s Argos will collect around 5000 waste tyres per month in Choluteca, Honduras, and transport them to Comayagua for disposal at its Piedras Azules cement plant. Following three days of stoppage to change one of the raw mill motors, Paraguay’s Industria Nacional de Cemento (INC) has resumed clinker production, said Ernesto Benítez, president of INC. Domestic cement deliveries in Peru edged up two per cent to 1.264Mt in October 2021 when compared with October 2020, according to Peruvian cement association, Asocem.
