Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the United States and Puerto Rico in May 2013 were about 7.77Mt, up by nearly three per cent YoY, according to the latest statistics from the US Geological Survey (USGS). Poland's cement production totalled 1.733 Mt in July 2013, up by 2.2 per cent YoY, according to the latest data from the country's cement association. Iran’s cement output in the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (beginning 21 March 2013) increased by five per cent compared to the same period of the previous year. The cement output of Russia’s Eurocement Group increased by five per cent to 11.5Mt during January to June 2013, the company said in a statement. Vietnam produced 32.5Mt of cement in the first seven months of this year, up 5.9 per cent from a year earlier, data from the country's General Statistics Office (GSO) has showed. During July alone, output rose by 14.3 per cent from the same month of last year to 5.1Mt, the government-run office's monthly report revealed. The GSO has revised down the country’s cement output in the first six months of this year to 27.4Mt from a previous estimate of 28.1Mt.
