Kyrgyz Republic produces 1.6Mt of cement in 9M18

Cement producers in the Kyrgyz Republic manufactured 1.6Mt of cement in the first three quarters of 2018, according to GS-Expert. This represents a YoY growth of 36 per cent. Domestic consumption rose seven per cent while exports saw a 420 per cent hike.

Domestic cement sales in September rose 23 per cent YoY in September 2018 to 5.313Mt, according to data published by the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Brazil’s cement producers sold 4.564Mt of cement to domestic customers in September 2018, down 5.6 per cent when compared to the 4.835Mt sold in the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement producers’ association, SNIC. Cement consumption in Peru reached 0.966Mt in September 2018, slipping by 0.3 per cent when compared with the year-ago period, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Sibirsky Cement's cement production falls in 9M18

Russia’s Sibirsky Cement has seen a minor fall in cement production from its three plants in the 9M18, slipping to 2.507Mt from 2.516Mt in the year-ago period. The company’s Topkinsky facility recorded a flat YoY result of around 1.7Mt, while Krasnoyarsky increased its production by three per cent to 268,100t. Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the USA and Puerto Rico in July increased by 9.4 per cent YoY to 9.3Mt, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). Deliveries for the first seven months of 2017 rose by 3.8 per cent to 55.2Mt. NCL Industries reports 32% production increase

India’s NCL Industries has announced strong results in the Jul-Sept 2018 period. Cement production increased 32 per cent YoY to 0.48Mt, while dispatches similarly rose 31 per cent to 0.48Mt. Elsewhere, the company’s production of its cement particle boards advanced 19 per cent YoY to 16,458t. Dispatches of the product increased seven per cent to 16,728t.

China increases cement output

Cement output in China advanced 0.5 per cent in the first eight months of 2018 to 1.38bnt, according to the National Commission for Development and Reform (NCDR). Cement production in Ukraine for the Jan-Aug 2018 period has fallen 2.9 per cent YoY, according to Pavlo Kachur, head of the Ukrcement Association of Cement Manufacturers.
