Peru’s cement market expanded by 6.7 per cent YoY in October 2019 as demand reached 1.089Mt when compared with 1.021Mt reported in October 2018, according to the latest data published by the country’s cement association, Asocem. The Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has released the latest data for large-scale manufacturing industries (LSMI) for the period July-September 2019. Total shipments of cement and blended cement, including imports, in the USA and Puerto Rico were up slightly to 10.3Mt in August 2019 when compared with August 2018. Lebap Cement Factory exports 0.24Mta

Turkmenistan-based Lebap Cement Factory, owned by Polimeks Insaat, exported around 0.24Mta of cement, or 32.5 per cent of its production, in the first 10 months of 2019, according to Business Turkmenistan. The 1.4Mta cement plant also achieved an output of 0.739Mt, valued at over TMT109m, between January-October 2019. It produces sulphate-resistant M-400 and M-500 cement. Last year, it produced more than 0.935Mt of cement.

In the January-September 2019 period cement production in Kazakhstan has fallen by 2.5 per cent to 7.8Mt when compared with the 9M18, when output reached 8Mt, according to Kazakhstan Newsline. Cement prices increased 3.1 per cent to KZT23,300/t (US$59.96/t) in September 2019 from KZT22,600/t in September 2018. The average retail price of M400 cement rose 7.7 per cent YoY from KZT1300/50kg bag to KZT1400/bag over the same period.
