Vietnamese cement deliveries advance by 30% in July

Cement dispatches by Vietnamese producers surged by 30 per cent YoY to 8.08Mt in July, according to data by the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Cement sales in the Dominican Republic increased 5.2 per cent YoY in the January-June 2019 period, according to the country’s cement association, Adocem. Peru’s cement consumption increased 9.1 per cent YoY to 983,000t in July 2019 when compared with the previous-year’s equivalent month, which saw demand at 901,000t, according to the country’s cement association, Asocem. Tajikistan's cement output up in 7M19

Tajikistan has announced that around 2.328Mt of cement was produced in the country over the first seven months of 2019. According to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, this is around 209,000t higher than in January-July 2018. In 2018, the Tajik cement industry produced over 3.844Mt of cement, a 23.3 per cent YoY increase.

The Czech Republic’s cement output increased 9.8 per cent YoY to 4.43Mt in 2018, the largest amount since 2008, according to data from the country’s cement producers’ association. Total cement consumption in Argentina in July 2019 increased 5.1 per cent YoY to 1,000,711t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. The market requirement was entirely supplied by domestic plants, unlike in July 2018 when 2540t of cement was imported. Domestic dispatches in Colombia advanced by 3.8 per cent from 0.943Mt in June 2018 to 0.979Mt in June 2019, according to DANE, the country’s statistics office. Sagar Cements records 22% rise in production for July

India’s Sagar Cements has seen a 22.3 per cent increase in consolidated cement production to 281,597t in July 2019, compared with 230,193t in the year-ago period. Standalone production rose 21.2 per cent to 200,808t from 165,629t. Consolidated cement sales also surged 25.1 per cent to 274,822, against 219,748 in July 2018.

Cimgabon cement output up 53% in 1Q19

Cimgabon’s cement production surged by 52.5 per cent to 112,349t in the first quarter of 2019 when compared with the 1Q18, when it produced 73,633, according to Directinfosgabon. The rise in output is attributed to more efficient use of production equipment and the resumption of cement production since July 2018. Cement sales increased 49.7 per cent YoY to 112,712 in the 1Q19 as domestic demand was robust. The value of sales rose 57.4 per cent YoY to XAF8.4bn (US$14.4m).
