UltraTech Cement Ltd has completed a 100MW solar energy project under the Group Captive scheme in the state of Rajasthan. This is the company’s first project for sourcing power for its captive consumption from the inter-state transmission network. CEMEX Croatia has been awarded EUR5m (US$5.5m) in contracts for the construction of three solar power plants, co-funded by The Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund and the EU Modernisation Fund. Kohat Cement Factory has updated the Pakistan Stock Exchange Ltd (PSX) about an increase in cement production capacity at Kohat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
